Source selection

News Cyclades selects sources for relevance to the Cyclades and Greece, identifiable provenance, timeliness and a track record of factual reporting. Sources include news publishers, public authorities and local organizations. Availability in an RSS feed does not by itself prove accuracy or grant a reuse licence. We can suspend a source that repeatedly provides misleading material.

Short summaries, not full republication

We publish short AI-assisted summaries with the source name and a direct link to the original article. We do not republish entire third-party articles as our own. Original rights remain with their holders; image credits are shown when supplied. Readers should consult the original article for context and the complete account.

Automation and its limitations

Collection, summarization, translation, tagging and categorization may be automated. Not every summary is individually reviewed before publication. AI can omit context or make factual, translation or classification errors. AI-assisted content is identified as such. The source takes precedence over a conflicting summary; no summary should be treated as professional advice.

Corrections

Report a correction to newscyclades.gr@gmail.com, including the page URL, the disputed statement and supporting source or evidence. We assess and act on substantiated corrections within 48 hours of receiving sufficient information. Material corrections should be explained on the affected page, with an updated date; an unresolved verification issue may lead to a clarification or temporary withdrawal rather than an unsupported correction. We do not silently present a disputed claim as established fact.

Removal and rights requests

Send removal, privacy or copyright requests to newscyclades.gr@gmail.com with the exact URL, the material concerned, your grounds and contact details. The notice, action within 48 hours and counter-notice process is described in our Terms of Service. Attribution alone is not a substitute for permission where permission is required.

Advertising and independence

Advertisements and sponsored content must be identifiable. Advertising is not approval of the advertised content or a guarantee of its accuracy or safety. Commercial relationships should not conceal sponsorship or override corrections and rights requests.
