The data controller is the provider identified above, ΣΤΡΑΤΗΣ Λ. GDPR requests can be sent to newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or teamio@webdnadigital.com. This policy explains how we process personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Greek Law 4624/2019 and applicable electronic communications law.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Newsletter: email and, if provided, name and language preferences.
  • Contact form: name, email, subject, message and submission date.
  • Property listings: property details, description, location, photographs, contact name, telephone and email. Contact details and photographs submitted for publication are publicly visible. Do not include identity documents or third-party personal data without authority.
  • Business directory: business name, description, location, website, professional contact information and listing preferences.
  • Accounts: email, profile information, account role and authentication/session information, including information supplied by a login provider. Authentication is handled by our platform provider.
  • Technical data: IP address, user-agent, device/browser information, request timestamps and security/error records.
  • Analytics events: page views, traffic source and interaction data, only when the relevant optional tracking is enabled with consent. We do not intentionally request special-category personal data.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Essential storage is used only where necessary to provide a service you request. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent reading the site. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage for sessions, language and consent preferences. Optional statistics and advertising technologies are activated only after the relevant consent. See the Cookie Policy for categories, identifiers, durations and controls. “Cookie Settings” in the footer lets you change or withdraw your choices without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. Third-party advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. This includes the DoubleClick/Google advertising cookie and identifiers such as IDE. Personalized advertising is permitted only with consent to advertising and personalization; choices are communicated through Google Consent Mode v2.

You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info. These external choices do not replace the site’s cookie controls. Meta may process data when you follow a Facebook link or use its services under its own Privacy Policy; mentioning Meta does not mean a Meta advertising pixel is installed. Any optional Meta advertising tracking added to this site requires the appropriate consent. See also Google’s Privacy Policy.

6. Analytics

Google Analytics 4 (G-ZRWRY8H32W) is loaded only with statistics consent. It measures page visits and interactions and produces aggregated reports; underlying identifiers and event data may still be personal data. We do not send contact-form content, email addresses or listing contact details as analytics parameters. The first-party GA cookie lifetime configured by this site is 13 months without automatic renewal. GA4 event/user retention is a separate Google account setting (2 or 14 months for standard properties), not a cookie lifetime; contact us for the current setting. Aggregated reports may be retained longer without individual identifiers.

7. Recipients and service providers

Data is accessible only to people and providers who need it for these purposes. Providers may include Base44–Wix for hosting, database, authentication and platform email delivery; Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC for analytics and advertising when enabled; Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd for Facebook publishing and external social interactions; and Resend for the transactional email flows that use it. Sending an email to our published Gmail address also involves Google’s email services. Providers may act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service. Public listing details and published business information can be read by visitors and indexed by search engines. Authorities and professional advisers receive information only when legally required or necessary for claims. We do not sell enquiry or newsletter contact lists.

Embedded media providers

With Personalization consent, YouTube (Google) and TradingView receive IP/device and interaction information when their embedded content loads. They may use their own storage according to their privacy policies. Without this consent these embeds are not loaded.

8. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some providers and subprocessors operate in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA. Where a transfer occurs, the applicable protection must be an adequacy decision, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified and covered, or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), together with necessary safeguards. You can request information about the safeguards applicable to your data at newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or teamio@webdnadigital.com. Consent to cookies is not a substitute for transfer safeguards.

9. Retention periods

These are the service’s retention limits, not a claim that third-party account settings or deletion schedules are automatically configured by this policy. Data must be deleted or anonymized when no longer required. A specific legal obligation or live legal claim may justify longer retention of only the relevant records; we will explain the reason where permitted. Consent preferences are stored on your device and can disappear earlier if you clear browser storage.

10. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, including objection to direct marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time, using Cookie Settings for tracking or the newsletter unsubscribe option/contact email for subscription. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.

Send requests to newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or teamio@webdnadigital.com, specifying the service and right concerned. We may request proportionate identity verification, not unnecessary documents. We respond within one month of receipt. If complexity or the number of requests requires an extension of up to two further months, we explain it within the first month. Requests are normally free of charge.

11. Complaints

You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifisias 1–3, 115 23 Athens, Greece, telephone +30 210 6475600, www.dpa.gr, or the competent authority where you live or work. Contacting us first is optional, not a condition for exercising this right.

12. Security, children, decisions and changes

We use proportionate access controls, authentication, encrypted connections and data minimization; no online service is completely risk-free. Services requiring consent are intended for persons aged 16 or over; we do not knowingly collect such data from younger children without a valid legal basis and any required parental authorization. Please report suspected child data to newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or teamio@webdnadigital.com.

AI helps summarize and classify news, not make solely automated decisions about individuals producing legal or similarly significant effects. Advertising personalization is optional and is not such a decision. Policy changes are published with a revision date and version; material changes to optional tracking require renewed consent. Privacy contact: newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or teamio@webdnadigital.com.
