These terms govern use of https://newscyclades.gr, branded News Cyclades. They apply to readers, account holders and people submitting listings. Mandatory consumer and data protection rights prevail over these terms. Contact: newscyclades.gr@gmail.com.
2. Service and AI disclosure
We aggregate links and metadata from third-party RSS feeds, news services and public sources and provide short summaries with AI assistance. We are not the authors or publishers of linked original articles. Summaries, translations, categories and tags may be automated, incomplete or inaccurate and are not necessarily reviewed individually before publication. Always consult the original source for the complete account; in a discrepancy, the original source takes precedence. Content is for general information, not legal, medical, investment or other professional advice.
3. Intellectual property and links
Our original selection, editing, synthesis and site presentation are protected to the extent applicable law provides. Original articles, photographs, titles, logos and third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective rightsholders. Public availability or an RSS feed does not transfer copyright. Attribution and links do not replace any required licence. We do not claim ownership of third-party material or authorize its reuse. You may share links and exercise lawful quotation and other statutory rights. Other reproduction requires the relevant permission. External sites have their own terms and policies.
4. Notice and takedown; counter-notice
To report an unlawful article, image, title, listing or rights infringement, email newscyclades.gr@gmail.com with: (1) your name and reply address; (2) the exact URL and specific material; (3) the right or legal concern and a reasoned explanation; (4) evidence of ownership or authority, where relevant; and (5) a good-faith statement that the information is accurate. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information.
We review and take appropriate action within 48 hours of receiving a sufficiently specific notice, which may include requesting clarification, correcting attribution, restricting access or removing material; this is not a promise that every contested legal question can be finally resolved in 48 hours. We inform the notifier and, where appropriate and lawful, the contributor. A contributor may send a reasoned counter-notice with the URL, evidence of permission or lawful use and contact details to the same address. We reassess before restoring content and communicate the outcome. Urgent legal obligations take precedence; this process does not limit access to courts or authorities.
5. User-submitted listings and business entries
You retain your rights and confirm you own or are authorized to submit the content, images and contact details. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, format and publicly display the submission for the requested listing service, for its publication period and necessary technical backups. It is not a licence to sell your personal contact data. You are responsible for accuracy and necessary permissions. No fraudulent or discriminatory offers, unlawful products, threats, harassment, defamatory material, rights infringement, malware, spam or unnecessary personal data of others may be posted. We may reject, correct, suspend or remove content for a documented legal, safety or terms-related reason and provide an explanation where required. We do not act as an estate agent or contracting party to transactions between visitors and advertisers and do not guarantee ownership, availability or suitability of listings.
6. Newsletter and accounts
Newsletter subscription is voluntary and separate from optional cookie consent. You may unsubscribe through the message’s link or newscyclades.gr@gmail.com. Protect your credentials, provide accurate account details and report unauthorized use. Account information is handled under our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
Do not interfere with security or availability, evade access controls, impersonate others, submit false reports, distribute malware or collect personal details for unsolicited messages. Automated access must respect applicable law, intellectual property, technical restrictions and reasonable service capacity. These terms do not restrict lawful research, statutory exceptions or protected expression.
8. Advertising and sponsored content
Advertising supports the service. Ad placements and sponsored editorial material must be clearly distinguishable and labelled as advertising or sponsorship. An advertisement is not an endorsement, verification or guarantee of the advertiser, linked material, property or product. Optional advertising technology is governed by cookie consent. Editorial selection should not be determined by payment disguised as independent reporting.
9. Availability and service changes
We may maintain, correct, improve or discontinue features for operational or legal reasons. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or the continuing availability of external links. Material changes affecting an ongoing contractual service will be communicated where required by law. Mandatory rights and accrued obligations remain unaffected.
10. Liability
We take reasonable care but cannot guarantee that summaries, third-party content or user listings are complete and accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused solely by independent third parties, external outages or reliance on content without appropriate verification. Nothing excludes or limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury where unlawful, or any mandatory consumer or statutory liability.
11. Responsibility and indemnity
To the extent permitted by Greek law, a user responsible for a culpable unlawful submission or breach may be required to compensate proven, reasonably incurred losses and third-party claims caused by that conduct. This is not an unlimited indemnity, does not cover our own fault and does not remove mandatory consumer protections or the right to contest a claim.
12. Law and dispute resolution
Greek law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence where applicable. Courts of Athens have jurisdiction only to the extent legally permitted; mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules prevail.
The former EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and no longer accepts complaints. Current information about out-of-court consumer redress is available from Consumer Redress in the EU. Contacting us to seek an amicable resolution does not restrict your legal rights.
13. Severability and amendments
If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply where legally possible. Updates are published with a date and version. Material changes are communicated as required; continued browsing does not constitute consent to optional cookies or waive statutory rights.
14. Contact
For questions, corrections, rights notices and complaints, contact newscyclades.gr@gmail.com or the Contact page. See the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Editorial & AI Policy.
